My name is Ibraheem Solaiman, and I am a first year Civil Engineering student taking Writing for Engineering at CCNY. The goal of this course was to help students become familiar with the different genres of writing that are needed in professional engineering fields. This course allowed us to practice the essential skills that any good writer needs. Through the different assignments we worked on, we learned to enhance our strategies of drafting, revising, editing and reflecting. We also engaged in collaborative writing, as writing is also an incredibly social activity and collaborative process.
